Great news! We've reached 40% of the funding we need to make Monster RPG 2 free for everyone, in a timely fashion. But that means we need 60% more, so if you can, please consider a contribution to our Indiegogo campaign. There are lots of perks for contributors, such as early access to our top-secret, in-development game code-named Baryon, as well as cool physical gifts like CDs and t-shirts. On top of that, we have some news to announce.
Initially I didn't set any stretch goals for Monster RPG 2. I'm new to crowdfunding, so I thought once the $1,500 goal was reached that was it. But apparently not. So I've gone ahead and updated the campaign to include a single stretch goal: any funds (after cost of physical perks) brought in beyond $1,500 will go directly to the Pacific Academy Outreach Society, who are a great charity doing fantastic work with children in Uganda. On top of that, if we reach a mere $100 over the $1,500 goal, I'll make a personal thank you video thanking our supporters. I'm very camera shy so this is a big deal to me! It's not easy getting me out in front of a camera, but if it is for a good cause like helping charity, I will make an exception!
So in summary, we need more donations and link sharers to push toward the goal of this campaign. Also, if the campaign overfunds, we'll be giving the excess to charity and I'll possibly be doing a thank you video even though I'm extremely camera shy and usually short on words!
Thanks!

9 days have passed since the campaign to free Monster RPG 2 began. From the first day until today, we've been ahead of the curve, averaging enough per day to make it to the $1,500 goal. Today we dropped a little below the curve. But that doesn't mean we should give up!
Please help put this campaign back on the right track! We need your contributions and we need you to tell more people about this humble cause! If you're on the fence, let me run down some of the benefits you and your friends will get from contributing:
- Everyone will benefit by being able to download and play Monster RPG 2, cost and ad free, on their preferred platform.
- Gamers will benefit by getting alpha/beta/final builds of our ambitious (and awesome) new RPG (with a $5 contribution.)
- Developers will benefit by getting 1 on 1 help in building their own game from the Monster RPG 2 engine (with $10 and up contributions.)
- Fans of Monster RPG 2 will benefit from the swag we're offering (CDs, t-shirts, wallpapers.)
- Our charity will benefit with each Monster RPG 2 CD sold!
And last but not least, my team and I at Nooskewl will benefit by having necessary business costs covered which we'll need in lieu of the lost sales from Monster RPG 2. I will be able to continue developing our new game while giving all of the above benefits to you, our fans.
Thanks for reading, and hopefully sharing this post! Until next time.

As the title says, our
Indiegogo fundraiser is off to a good start. Thanks to everyone for contributing money and spreading the word! But we've got a ways to go before the $1,500 goal, and we need your help. Please get the word out: either to your friends and family, on your blog or Twitter, on Facebook or other social media sites... any way you can! The goal is a good one! And if you can find it in your heart (and budget) to make a contribution (they accept PayPal), we appreciate them all, large and small! Thanks again for all of the help so far, and I hope to be posting the source code here soon!

I just started a campaign on Indiegogo to make Monster RPG 2 free and open source! This is very exciting for me. On top of the game being free for everyone to download and play, the plan is to create a massive development wiki that allows game developers to use the engine to make games of their own with a large knowledge base to feed from. There are some pretty cool perks, so check it out: Monster RPG 2 Indiegogo Campaign.

Right now you can get a great RPG on CD and support a worthy charity at the same time! And this time, the price is even better. For between $4 and $7 (depending on the shipping destination), you can have Monster RPG 2 on a disc with Windows, Mac, Linux and Android versions. Check out the pictures below and click here for more info and to purchase. NOTE: Leave a little mention with PayPal and we'll activate direct downloads for you right away!

I got to thinking: many people use computers at work, at the library or at a friends house (just to name a few examples.) These computers do not belong to them, but they may frequently use these computers anyway. Our end user license has always basically been "permitted to use on any computer or device you own." Well that doesn't cut it now does it? So the wording has been changed to include any computer you are using as well. In the context where the computer is not owned by you, only you are permitted to run the game on that computer/device. So if you have bought a game from our site, you may now feel free to install it on a portable USB stick, for example. I hope these new terms allow you to enjoy your purchases in any way you wish. Thanks!
